This is one of the most fascinating processes I have ever seen!
That was amazing! It's wonderful to see how these were originally made.
What a wonderful talent and display of simple yet effective ancient technologies. Thank you very much for this film.
WOW! This is gold! This is something I have always wondered about....
this is awesome! i love the technique of using ground stone on soft metal as the grinding wheel. Im sure it embeds itself in the surface of the metal and makes a barrier. ineteresting
This is one of the coolest videos I’ve ever seen
Impressive research and technique. As a beginning jade carver, I will use a few of your techniques with much thanks.
i really really appreciate this, thorough and easy to follow demonstration of the production of these gorgeous gem engravings, ive looked thru lots of papers on the subject but information on this process is lacking, this video made it clear and i have a deep appreciation of these artists and there work. also what you produced was very beautiful!
Amazing demonstration of ancient lapidary!
Truly amazing. Thank you ive wondered for my whole life how ancient people did the intaligo process.
Thanks for putting this together. Very thorough.
What a great video! I love looking at ancient artifacts and I've looked at hundreds of Greek and Roman intaglio gems on various museum websites, but until today, I never looked up how they were made. This was a very informative and interesting video.
THANK YOU FOR THIS! In thos world of mass production, the presenter gives us a reminder of human creativity .
I think its wonderful.
Both beautiful and amazing. Very special results with hand tools.
I love this whole process 👍
ALL I CAN SAY IS FANTASTIC....👍.
Невероятен си Чавдаре. Определено мисля, че древните хора са били много по находчиви и много по изобретателни от нас наследниците. Поздрави от Мадрид.

I don't wear jewelry, but if I wanted to, it would definitely be in the style of ancient Greeks and Romans. I like their style of jewelry.

I looove to know, how to do things. Doing them is boring, but knowing, that I could, if I for some odd reason "had to", is sooo cool.
that is just amazing,wow
Fascinating. May I ask a question: which engraving machine do you normally use?
Amazing ❤
Crazy impressive
Where can I study gem carving? Intaglio specifically
What would you say the various grades of naxos stone powder you use in the demonstration would correspond to in terms of grits of emery powder? I've a mind to try this for myself, but I'm not sure what coarse/medium/fine would mean when buying the grit.
What are the best fine polishing methods and compounds out there? I've seen watchmakers use Polywatch for polishing the glass. Lacquer artists use Kiku-mol. Even rubbing bone dust by hand seems to work. Now I learned about this Naxos stuff.. I guess it all depends what one is polishing.
Edit: I guess I'm wondering about the grit of these different compounds. How gritty is Naxos powder vs. toothpaste vs. Deer antler powder etc.
Wow!
Que grande eres
Wow how can you even see with the slurry on thete
